Sirajganj Hard Point (Jamuna Riverfront)
A fortified riverbank at the edge of town, popular for sunsets, breezes and boat rides on the Jamuna.
Sirajganj town sits right on the Jamuna, which has repeatedly eaten into its banks. The concrete-armoured embankment known as the Hard Point was built to protect the town, and it has become a favourite promenade where families stroll in the evenings and vendors sell snacks and tea.
From here the river stretches for kilometres, broken by sandbars and the sails of country boats. Boatmen offer short trips onto the water or across to the chars, especially in the calmer winter months. It is a simple, local experience, but the sheer scale of the Jamuna makes it memorable.
