Inani Beach
A calmer stretch of sand on the Marine Drive, known for its coral-encrusted rocks exposed at low tide.
Inani lies about 30 km south of Cox's Bazar on the Marine Drive, in Ukhia upazila, where the hills come close to the shore and the crowds thin out. The beach is famous for its dark, coral-encrusted rocks that appear at low tide, forming rock pools and a striking foreground for sunset photos.
The water is generally calmer and clearer than at Kolatoli, and the drive itself — hills on one side, sea on the other — is half the pleasure. Several large resorts have come up nearby, but the beach still feels open. Time your visit for low tide to see the rocks at their best.
How to go
From Kolatoli by CNG, jeep (chander gari) or easy-bike along the Marine Drive (≈45-60 min; shared jeep 100-150 BDT per person, reserved CNG 600-1,000 BDT round trip).
Where to stay
Upscale resorts at Inani and Jaliapalong (10,000-30,000 BDT), or budget to mid-range hotels in Cox's Bazar town.
