Rising 225 feet above Char Fasson town, Jacob Tower opened in 2018 and is described as the tallest watchtower in the country. Its design is inspired by the Eiffel Tower, with a steel frame of 16 floors and a lift to the observation decks.

From the top the flat delta landscape opens in every direction: paddy fields, canals, villages under coconut palms and, on a clear day, the silver line of the Meghna and the chars beyond. The tower stands beside a pond and park in the town centre, which are pleasant in the evening when the structure is lit up. It is a handy first stop before heading south to Kukri-Mukri.

How to go

From Bhola town take a bus to Char Fasson (≈2.5 h, 150-200 BDT); the tower is a short rickshaw ride from the bus stand.

Where to stay

Char Fasson has several simple hotels (800-2,500 BDT).

Travel tips: Visit in the late afternoon for sunset views; the lift may close early or for maintenance, so check the timing.
